The Kansas City Star did the research for what most of us in Chiefs nation have been wondering: how much worse can it get? Apparently, not much at all. The Chiefs are enduring the fourth worst start to any regular season in the history of the NFL, according to the Star’s Randy Covitz. That’s a surprising figure on paper, but not if you’ve seen the on-field product.
The news doesn’t get any better from there with grand turnarounds that a team made the playoffs after such a start. The Chiefs are grounded already in 2011, sorry to say, and some significant questions must be answered. If the Chiefs even bounce back to respectability after being outscored 89-10 in two games, someone will not only deserve to keep their job but also an award.
