Broncos Vs. Chiefs Score: Kansas City Takes 7-0 Lead Into Halftime

Denver's offense awoke in the second quarter after being kept under control by Kansas City in the first quarter. However, they still don't have any points to show for it and the Chiefs head into halftime with a 7-0 lead.

At the half, Dexter McCluster's 21 yard touchdown run in the first quarter still accounts for all of the scoring. After totaling 12 yards in the first quarter, Denver was able to move up and down the field some in the second quarter. The Chiefs still hold a total yardage lead of 216-142 and have 11 first-downs to just seven for the Broncos.

Kyle Orton completed 10 of 18 passes in the first half for 128 yards and most going Dwayne Bowe's way. Bowe finished with six catches in the first half for 93 yards. McCluster has 59 yards rushing on eight carries to lead the Chiefs' ground game.

Willis McGahee got things going in the second for the Broncos finishing the half with 87 yards on 13 carries. Tim Tebow threw for 29 yards and rushed for 19 and stopped the Broncos best drive of the game when Chiefs safety Kendrick Lewis forced a fumble that was recovered by rookie Justin Houston.
