Riding a 7-game winning streak and playing in front of a raucous home crowd, the Iowa State Cyclones are leading the No. 9 Missouri Tigers at halftime, 38-36.
Missouri's leading scorer Marcus Denmon has been held to only 2 points (1-for-5 shooting) by an impressive Iowa State defense while the Tigers continue to struggle shooting from behind the arc as a team (3-for-12 in the half).
Coming off the bench, Steve Moore has played a big role in keeping possessions alive with 4 offensive rebounds as well as doing some scoring himself. Moore is nearing his season high of 10 points, leading the Tigers with 8 points at the half on 4-for-4 shooting. Matt Pressey and Michael Dixon also have 8 points for the Tigers.
The game started slow offensively for both teams, which was unexpected as both the Tigers and Cyclones have a number of good shooters. The pace picked up late in the half as both offenses found their footing.
Senior Scott Christopherson leads the Cyclones with 13 points, including a halfcourt shot that went down as time expired in the first half.
