Michael Dixon has delivered with 16 points off the bench to give the Missouri Tigers a resounding 42-23 lead over the Texas A&M Aggies at the half in the Mizzou Arena.
Dixon, along with Marcus Denmon's 10 points and 7 rebounds have keyed the Tigers attack as Frank Haith's squad has kept the pedal on the medal versus the Aggies. Missouri has out-rebounded A&M 21-10 in the first half and the defense has forced the Aggies to shoot just 8-26 (30.8%) from the field. The only Aggie who has performed thus far is Ray Turner, as he has come off the bench to give the team 6 points and 4 rebounds.
While the Aggies trying to do whatever they can to keep their hopes alive for a bid in the NCAA tournament, the Tigers look to make a push for a No. 1 seed. If the Tigers can finish off the Aggies, their next opponent could put them in a prime position. The Tigers face the No. 3 Baylor Bears on Saturday.
