Kansas State is locked up in a good matchup with the Texas Longhorns with the Wildcats carrying a 43-42 lead into halftime.
Rodney McGruder had a solid first half scoring 16 points including 4-5 shooting from three-point range. Jarmar Samuels added 12 points for the Wildcats who hit 16-36 shot attempts in the first half. Kansas State hit 7-12 three point attempts in the first half.
Myck Kabongo leads Texas with 11 points and five assists at the break. Clint Chapman came off the bench to also score 11 points going 7-7 from the free throw line. The Longhorns were proficient at the line in the first half going 14-14 to off set Kansas State's three-point barrage.
Kansas State forced Texas into 10 first half turnovers while the Wildcats only committed six.
