The Oklahoma City have started the season on a fantastic tear. They are currently 5-0 and are coming off a strong win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. The defending NBA champions the Dallas Mavericks, on the other hand, have had a horrid start to their shortened 2011-12 season. They are 1-4 on the season and 1-2 at home. They nearly squeaked out a win over the Thunder in Oklahoma City last week, but ultimately suffered a 104-102 loss. The Mavericks are coming off a 17-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, in which they appeared more disjointed than ever.
The Thunder are hoping to take advantage of the struggling Mavericks, as they visit them in Dallas on Monday night. Dallas has not looked more beatable in years.
The game will tip off at American Airlines Center in Dallas at 8:30 PM ET. The game will air on FS-Oklahoma and on NBA TV.
