The Tulsa Golden Hurricane host UTEP this Thursday at H.A. Chapman Stadium. The books opened with Tulsa as 13-point favorites and now favor them by a margin of 16 to 17.
The Golden Hurricane are 3-0 in Conference USA play and 5-1 overall, after beating Marshall on the road 45-38 last Saturday. The Miners are 0-2 in conference play and 1-5 overall; UTEP was shut out by Southern Methodist at home 17-0 last Saturday.
The Tulsa offense is ranked no. 12 in the nation and scores 42.5 points per game. UTEP allows 27 ppg. The Miners are scoring 17 ppg, while Tulsa allows 28.3 ppg. The over-under is set within a half point of 58 on most books.
Tulsa has won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two teams. UTEP is 1-4 against the spread and 0-5 straight up in its last five road games.
