A rough year for Kansas won't get any easier this week when the Jayhawks travel to Norman to play an Oklahoma team coming off their biggest win of the season.
Under Bob Stoops, the Sooners have been nearly unbeatable at home, although that aura has been punctured a bit by losses to Texas Tech in 2011 and Kansas State in 2012.
However, Kansas, whose only win this season has come against an FCS team in South Dakota State, isn't nearly on the level of the two mid-tier programs who upset Oklahoma at home.
Even with the schematic advantage provided by first-year coach Charlie Weis, the talent pool he inherited from Turner Gill just hasn't been good enough to keep up with the rest of the conference, although they did give Oklahoma State a scare at home last week.
The Sooners defeated the Jayhawks 47-17 last season; Kansas, a plus-35.5 point underdog, will be lucky to keep it that close this weekend.
