MIssouri basketball is becoming a family affair, as head coach Frank Haith welcomes his son, Corey, as a walk-on for the 2012-13 season. The Tigers open their season with an exhibition game on Oct. 29 against Northwest Missouri State, and both father and son are looking forward to the season, via The Columbia Daily Tribune:

"This is an opportunity for me to be a part of [Corey's] growth the next four years that I'm really looking forward to."

The younger Haith spent last season coming off the bench for Rock Bridge High School. "To play with my dad and play for him and be able to help him to do what he does best is an honor and truly a blessing," Corey said.

Missouri went 30-5 overall last season, and finished second in the regular season Big 12 standings at 14-4. Entering the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2-seed, Haith and his team were upset by No. 15-seeded Norfolk State. This was the second consecutive season the Tigers were bounced from the first round of the tournament.
