Entering the final stretch of the season, the NASCAR Sprint Cup will shift its focus to the Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon for the 12th annual Hollywood Casino 400.
Sitting just seven points away from Sprint Cup leader Brad Keselowski at the moment, defending champion Jimmie Johnson will hope to once again grab the checkered flag in Kansas City with first place in the standings well within his reach. Johnson leads all Sprint Cup contenders with 16 top-five finishes on the year, but only has three wins to his credit to fall slightly behind Keselowski in the standings.
Qualifying will begin at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, while the race itself will officially start at 3 p.m ET on Sunday and is set to be aired on ESPN. Local favorite Clint Bowyer, who sits in fourth in the standings, will be in search of his second consecutive victory after winning at Charlotte Motor Speedway the previous weekend. Bowyer is 28 points behind Keselowski and 13 points behind third-place contender Denny Hamlin with just five races remaining.
