After a big win on the road, the Oklahoma State Cowboys play host to an Iowa State Cyclones team that nearly pulled off a huge upset a week ago in a Big 12 contest on Saturday.
The No. 24 Cyclones (4-2, 1-2 in the Big 12) couldn't finish the comeback last week against No. 6 Kansas State, falling 27-21 at home. This week's trip to Stillwater is Iowa State's third road contest, as they've won at in-state rival Iowa and at TCU earlier in the season.
Against an Oklahoma State (3-2, 1-1 in the Big 12) offense that averages 48.6 points per game so far this season -- the third-highest scoring average in the nation -- Iowa State's defense, ranked 24th nationally in points allowed at 17.7 a game, will be put to the test. The Cowboys, however, are coming off of their lowest scoring output of the season in a 20-14 road win over the Kansas Jayhawks last Saturday.
Kickoff at Boone Pickens Stadium is set for 11 a.m. CT, and the game will be televised on FX.
