Iowa State vs. Oklahoma State 2012 final score: Cowboys tame Cyclones, 31-10

The Oklahoma State Cowboys entered Saturday's game against Iowa State as double-digit favorites and covered by more than enough in the 31-10 victory

The Oklahoma St. Cowboys knocked off the 24th-ranked Iowa St. Cyclones, 31-10, on Saturday.

The Cowboys were led by their offensive stars in quarterback J.W. Walsh, running back Joseph Randle and wide receiver Charlie Moore, who each had monster games through the air and on the ground.

Walsh finished with 415 yards on 32-of-47 passing and one touchdown while Randle added 151 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Walsh also added 46 yards rushing and a touchdown on nine carries to complete his day. Moore had a big game as a result of Walsh's with eight catches for 129 yards receiving and one touchdown. Blake Jackson (four catches, 96 yards) and Josh Stewart (13 catches, 89 yards) also benefited from Walsh's big game.

The Cyclones put up a fight early behind quarterback Jared Bennett (206 yards passing, 49 yards rushing) but were not able to manufacture anymore points after the first quarter. The Cowboys scored the final 24 points of the game with the last points coming on Walsh's 3-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys improve to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the Big 12 and the Cyclones fall to 4-3 overall, 1-3 in the Big 12.

Box Score Hero: J.W. Walsh put up video game numbers with his 415 yards and one touchdown. No one aside from Joseph Randle deserves mention in this spot. Walsh just piled up yards all day.

Rankings Ramifications: The Cowboys could find their way into the bottom of the rankings with their upset of the Cyclones while the Cyclones will definitely fall out of the rankings with the loss.

But Did They Cover?: Despite the Cyclones ranking, the Cowboys were favored by 13 points heading into the game and more than covered the spread.
