The Kansas Jayhawks' impressive volleyball season earned another distinction on Tuesday, when it was announced that the team had swept the Big 12's conference player of the week awards for the second time this year. Kansas' Sara McClinton was named the Big 12's Offensive Player of the Week and Caroline Jarmoc was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
It's the second such honor of the season for Jarmoc and the fourth of her career. It's the first for McClinton. Kansas as a team has six such weekly awards for the season.
The Jayhawks are No. 17 in the nation with a 19-3 record. They're in second place in the Big 12 with a 7-1 conference record, right behind the Texas Longhorns at 8-0 and ahead of the Kansas State Wildcats at 5-3. The Jayhawks play at Iowa State on Wednesday before wrapping up the regular season on Monday, Oct. 29, when they play host to West Virginia.
