The news just keeps on getting worse for the 1-3 Kansas City Chiefs, who have now lost tight end Kevin Boss for the rest of the season after a concussion, according to a tweet from Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star. Teicher said that Boss' doctors wouldn't clear him for the rest of the season, and the Chiefs have moved Boss to IR.

Boss didn't play the last two weeks after a huge hit on a 29-yard catch against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.

Kansas City signed Boss in the offseason to pair with tight end Tony Moeaki. Boss had three receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown before being lost to the concussion.

The Chiefs have been using backup tight end Steve Maneri in Boss' place the last two games and will likely continue to play him alongside starter Moeaki. Maneri is a converted offensive tackle. Kansas City hosts Baltimore on Sunday.
