The Missouri Tigers will have little time to celebrate their first SEC victory, as they face a stiff challenge on Saturday. The Tigers will travel to Gainesville, Fla., to take on fellow SEC East division member Florida Gators.
Florida lost its first game of the season last week, a 17-9 defeat to their rival Georgia. The Gators' offense struggled mightily against the Bulldog defense, as the Gator's lost four fumbles and threw two interceptions. For Missouri to compete against Florida, the Tigers will need to force some turnovers of their own.
The Gator defense, however, is one of the strongest units in the country. Florida ranks fourth in the nation on defense, only surrendering an average of 12.8 points per game. The Missouri offense is only 89th on the season in points scored and will need to play better against the Gators than the unit has played in the past against ranked opponents.
Missouri quarterback James Franklin is expected to start against Florida, which should help the struggling offense. The game time, TV channel and spread for the game are listed below
Game time: noon E.T.
TV: ESPN2
Spread: The Gators are 16 1/2-point favorites.
