The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will be paying tribute to legendary coach Norm Stewart and his era of Tiger Basketball. The Hall of Fame has planned a luncheon starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15th with the ceremony starting at 11:30 a.m.
Former Missouri basketball players as well as Stewart himself will be attending this reunion. John Sundvold is serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Current men's basketball head coach Frank Haith is expected to attend the event as well.
The tribute will take place at the University Plaza Convention Center in Springfield, MO. Part of the ceremony will include inducting former Tiger basketball players Derrick Chievous and Willie Smith into the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame will also be honoring the late Gary Filbert by recognizing five exceptional assistant basketball coaches: Don Carlson of Glendale, Calvin Bower of Carthage, Paul Dickson of Aurora, Bob Crawford of Parkview, and Larry Hines of Waynesville.
