The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes hit the road to take on the Marshall Thundering Herd in a Conference USA tilt. Both teams are undefeated in league play with Tulsa 2-0 and Marshall 1-0 in C-USA play.
Marshall is coming off a tough 51-41 loss to Purdue, while Tulsa is riding a four-game winning streak with their last matchup being a narrow 49-42 win over UAB.
Expect a shootout, as Tulsa averages 42 points per game to Marshall's 41. Neither defense is all that impressive, especially Marshall's, which gives up an FBS-worst 44.4 points per game.
For the first in a long time, Tulsa is considered more of a rushing than passing team. They are 12th in the FBS in yards per game and are led by Ja'Terian Douglas, Trey Watts and Alex Singleton. That trio has scored 16 touchdowns and combined for 979 yards on an average 6.3 yards per carry. Look for Tulsa to use those backs as they try to stay undefeated in league play.
