Collin Klein and the Kansas St. Wildcats are going down. In the SB Nation BlogPoll, anyway.
The Wildcats (10-1, 7-1) tumble three spots to find themselves ranked fifth in the latest SB Nation Blogpoll, released Tuesday. Klein and the entire Kansas St. team sputtered against the Baylor Bears (5-5, 2-5) this past week, suffering a brutal 52-24 loss. The Wildcats' defense turned in a mediocre showing against Baylor after not allowing more than 30 points in any game previously in 2012.
The Wildcats have one more shot at rankings redemption this season, but it won't come this week, as they have a bye. Kansas St. will take on the Texas Longhorns December 1. The Longhorns have reeled off four straight wins after dropping two consecutive games to West Virginia and Oklahoma earlier this season; they'll face the TCU Horned Frogs this week at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The Kansas Jayhawks and Missouri Tigers, both with losing records, did not factor in this week's rankings.
Here's a rundown of this week's BlogPoll.
