The Oklahoma Sooners still have a shot at a Big 12 title after first-place Kansas State lost last weekend, which only adds to this weekend's Bedlam rivalry game with Oklahoma State. But the Cowboys, one of the hottest team's in the conference, could still claim a share of the Big 12 title themselves.
No. 22 Oklahoma State (7-3, 5-2) has won five its last six games, and a win over the hated No. 14 Sooners (8-2, 6-1) could put them in prime position for a top bowl game. The Cowboys have the conference's top run game, and might be catching the Sooners at a good time. Oklahoma let up a school-record 778 yards in a 50-49 shootout win over West Virginia last weekend, including 344 yards rushing by Tavon Austin.
Oklahoma has won every game in the series in Norman since 2001, but the Cowboys hope to win two in a row after blowing out the Sooners 44-10 last season.
Oklahoma State and Oklahoma meet Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPN.
