The Tulsa Golden Hurricane (9-2, 7-0) take on SMU (5-6, 4-3) on Saturday in a Conference USA showdown in the final game of the regular season for both teams.
Tulsa locked up the West Division title on Saturday in the team's 23-21 win over UCF, with the Golden Hurricane utilizing a strong third quarter from quarterback Cody Green to take the lead and control of the game. Depending on how UCF and East Carolina fare in their final game, Tulsa is likely to play a rematch with UCF in the Conference USA championship game on Dec. 1.
Boasting one of the nation's strongest rushing attacks behind the dual threat of Trey Watts and Ja'Terian Douglas, Tulsa presents a tough test for SMU, as the Mustangs have struggled with on both sides of the ball throughout the season. SMU fell on Saturday to Rice, gaining just 317 yards of total offense while possessing the ball for just over 24 minutes in the game.
