Thunder vs. 76ers recap: Oklahoma City defeats Philadelphia 116-109

Durant and Westbrook lead Thunder to overtime victory against 76ers.

Oklahoma City was able to pull out a close win against Philadelphia, as the Thunder held on to claim a 116-109 overtime victory.

Philadelphia battled back to even things up at 98-98, but Oklahoma City pulled off the win by outscoring the 76ers 18-11 in the overtime period.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook led the way offensively for the Thunder. Durant shot 10-of-22 from the field to finish with 37 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Westbrook managed 30 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Serge Ibaka (18) and Nick Collison (14) also finished in double-digits for Oklahoma City.

The 76ers were led by Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner. Young scored 29 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Turner finished with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists. Point guard Jrue Holiday also contributed six points and 13 assists with only two turnovers.

Oklahoma City’s next contest takes place on Monday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats. Philadelphia will remain home to play host to the Phoenix Suns tomorrow.
