Tulsa vs. UCF in Conference USA Championship game

The Golden Hurricane and the Knights will meet for second time in three weeks.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will host the Central Florida Knights in the 2012 Conference USA Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 1. The game is a rematch of last week's clash, a contest won by Tulsa, 23-21, and marks the third time in eight years that the two schools will meet for the conference title.

The Golden Hurricane (9-3 overall, 7-1 conference) punched their ticket to the championship game three weeks ago, when a 41-7 win over Houston gave them an insurmountable lead in the CUSA West Division race. Their shot at an undefeated Conference USA season went by the wayside Saturday, when Tulsa was defeated 35-27 at SMU. The Golden Hurricane are 12th nationally in rushing yards, and rank in the nation's top 40 in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

Central Florida finished its season with an identical 9-3, 7-1 record, but will travel to Tulsa due to their head-to-head loss to the Golden Hurricane last week. The Knights closed out their regular season with a 49-24 win over Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday. Running back Latavius Murray leads the way for the Knights, with 964 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. Central Florida has never won at Tulsa.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CT, with television coverage available on ESPN2.
