US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas St. Wildcats will arrive in Arizona Friday, one day after their Fiesta Bowl opponent the Oregon Ducks flew into Phoenix to prepare for the game.

Wildcats' wide receiver Chris Harper tweeted out a picture of the team before their flight to Arizona, showing off a well-dressed group of young men in dress shirts and ties. The team is expected to land around noon local time, which is 1 p.m. CT.

Although the game is not until January 3rd, both teams chose to fly out well in advance to give the players plenty of time to get acclimated.

While the Wildcats' are in the air, Phoenix is getting ready to host the event by preparing for Saturday's Fiesta Bowl Parade. More than 700 volunteers woke up early this morning to help prepare for the event, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 29. The event will start at 11:30 a.m. MT, and will go until 12:30 p.m.
