Tour Pro Gary Woodland Hopes To Get His New Golf Swing Down By The Masters


Professional golfer Gary Woodland, from Topeka and a former member of the University of Kansas golf team, has been working on his golf swing with his new coach Butch Harmon. Woodland, who has struggled in several PGA Tour events this season, hopes to be able to get his game back together before The Masters in April, the first of this year's four major championships.

Woodland tied for 69th in last weekend's Northern Trust Open at Rivera Country Club in Los Angeles, shooting an 11-over-par score of 275. His best finish in the four Tour events he has played in this year is a tie for 24th. He is He is playing in the Accenture Match Play Championship this week in Maranam, Ariz. His first-round opponent is reigning Master's champion Charles Schwartzel.

The 27-year-old Woodland made his debut on the PGA Tour in 2009.
