While each team in the NFL is going to get two equal options at the famous Madden ‘13 game cover, it’d be surprising if the Kansas City Chiefs wanted any part of it. After all, the injury bug hit early and often last season, and the Chiefs need all the luck they can get if they are going to shake off such karma and get back to a healthy roster. That said, the two Chiefs officially listed as their options are the two heroes of the team last season: Dwayne Bowe and Derrick Johnson.
Johnson was named the team’s MVP in 2011 with a breakthrough season that most people were predicting back when the Chiefs first drafted him out of Texas in 2005. As for Bowe, it was yet another strong season at wide receiver even though he was catching passes from Tyler Palko for four games and three different quarterbacks overall.
Interestingly enough, the rest of the AFC West is quite interesting. Tim Tebow would be an obvious choice for the cover and he and Von Miller are the two Denver options. The Raiders are perhaps the most hilarious since it’s Shane Lechler and Sebastian Janikowski as the selections available. Too bad there’s no game called Special Teams ’13.
