Rex Hudler Reportedly Wins Royals Analyst Job For Fox Sports KC

It apparently came down to George Frazier and Rex Hudler and it appears the job has been won. Bob Dutton is reporting that Rex Hudler has won the job for Fox Sports Kansas City to become the new Royals TV analyst. Dutton also says that Frazier has been told he’s out.

Hudler has been a longtime analyst for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim with Fox Sports West from 1999 to 2009, so he’s well-seasoned in the industry.

Interestingly enough, Hudler has a shady history with Kansas City in that he was arrested nine years ago for marijuana possession at Kansas City International Airport. That led to a suspension of his broadcasting duties back in 2003.

Hudler is known as a high energy analyst, so fans will likely respond well to his passion.
