Topeka Touring Pro Gary Woodland 7 Shots Back At PGA Transitions Tour Stop

Former Kansas Jayhawk golfer Gary Woodland, from Topeka, made the cut and is tied for 34th place at three under par after two rounds in the PGA Transitions Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Woodland shot an even-par 71 on Friday to go with his opening-round score of 68. U.S. golfer Jason Dufner leads the field with a 10-under total of 139 heading to the third round on Saturday.

Another PGA Tour pro from Kansas City, Tom Pernice Jr., failed to make the weekend cut, finishing with a two-day score of four-over-par 146. The cut line was 141.
