Perrish Cox Acquitted Of Sexual Assault Charges

Cornerback Perrish Cox of the Denver Broncos can finally breathe easy now that he has been acquitted of sexual assault charges in a story that has brought some drama to the franchise this offseason.

The fifth round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft has been embroiled in this legal battle since the end of that year. In December 2010, Cox was arrested for two felony counts of sexual assault in Douglas County, Colorado. Today he was acquitted of those charges and should now be able to return to the NFL.

Cox did not play all last season, but he was a promising young corner in the Denver secondary in 2010. That season he played in 15 games for the Broncos and had 58 tackles, 1 interception, 2 forced fumbles and 14 passes defended. He can also help in the return game.
