VIDEO: First Ever 1080 Landed By 12-Year-Old Skateboarder

The X Games just found their newest superstar and marketing face with the arrival of the following video -- one that shows 12-year-old skateboarder Tom Schaar achieving what is being called the first ever 1080.

ESPN reports, "At 4:11 p.m. Monday, Tom Schaar, after just a handful of attempts, landed the groundbreaking trick while skating the MegaRamp at Woodward West action sports camp in Tehachapi, Calif. "It was the hardest trick I've ever done, but it was easier than I thought," said Schaar on Friday."

"Tom's a little giant and a spinning machine," says defending X Games Big Air gold medalist Bob Burnquist, 35. "Amazing. I look forward to learning a lot from him in the future. All eyes on Tom!"
