This weeks NASCAR race is taking place at the short track in Martinsville, Va., and Carl Edwards is still looking for his first win of the season. So far, Edwards has two top-five and top-10 finishes, but his average finish has been 14.8.
In Sunday's Goody's Fast Relief 500, Edwards will have his work cut out for him as his start position is all the way at No. 28 out of 43 cars. The top three in the pole is Kasey Kahne followed by Kevin Harvick and then Denny Hamlin.
Edwards has had success at this track during his career with seven top-15 finishes in 15 races, and his best finish came in 2008 where Edwards finished third. If Edwards wants to live up to the hype for this season he will need to have a great race on Sunday. Currently on the year Edwards is sitting at 12th place and 49 points behind the leader who is his teammate Greg Biffle.
The race will be broadcast on FOX and begins at 12:30 p.m. ET.
