NASCAR Sprint Cup Standings: Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer Trailing Denny Hamlin

After the drama known as the the 2012 Daytona 500 and this weekend’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Standings are starting to come into view. While everything is still incredible fluid, drivers are learning that they’re going to have to step up their game to beat Denny Hamlin, who is currently in the lead.

Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer linger behind at No. 9 and No. 17 respectively. There’s still a long season to go, but Bowyer has to be frustrated with his No. 30 finish this weekend. Here’s the complete standings below after two races.
