Carl Edwards is looking to replicate his success he has had at Texas Motor Speedway where he has won three races, and so far after 99 laps Edwards is inching his way to the top of the leaderboard and peaked at No. 8 after starting the day at the No. 20 spot.
However on the 100th lap Edwards had to pit due loose lugnuts on the right rear and now finds himself at the No. 30 spot. On the 93rd lap the race was under caution with a yellow flag when Trevor Bayne brushes wall in Turn 3. Edwards would have taken his pit stop earlier, but it was not until seven laps later that the issue with his lugnuts became apparent.
However, Edwards has since made up ground and is currently sitting at the No. 11 spot after 144 laps. The current leader is Jimmie Johnson and he has led for a total of 34 laps.
