Carl Edwards has had great success at the Texas Motor Speedway with three wins, but on Saturday night's Samsung Mobile 500, Edwards was not able to get his fourth win. The winner was Greg Biffle, who took the lead lap 304 of 334 over Jimmie Johnson and pulled away to win his first race since 2010. It was his second win at the Texas Motor Speedway.
Johnson, who led a race-high 156 laps, scraped against the wall trying to run down Biffle late in the race and was unable to catch up. Mark Martin finished third, followed by Jeff Gordon in fourth and then Matt Kenseth in fifth.
Carl Edwards started at the No. 20 position and made a move to get back in the top 10, but he could not get much higher and ended up finishing in eighth place.
