Henry Josey Injury Update: Second Knee Surgery Upcoming

While it remains unclear when he'll be able to return to the field, we know as much that Missouri running back Henry Josey will soon undergo a second surgery on his injured left knee.

His coach, Gary Pinkel, weighed in on Josey's outlook, and had this to say about next season and beyond:

"He's doing very, very well. I always get the question, 'Will he be able to play this season?' And my answer is he's got three years to play two. So, when he's ready to play, that's when he'll play."

Josey suffered the nasty injury in the Tigers' final game of the season against Texas. The recovery time from the injury has been prolonged because he needed to allow his knee time to recover from an initial surgery to repair his torn patellar tendon and meniscus. Now that he has sufficiently bounced back from that, he can move forward with tending to his ACL.

The surgery is expected to take place within the next two to three weeks.
