While the Masters will always have a draw of its own with the tradition of Augusta as a primary pull, it certainly doesn't hurt the PGA Tour to have Phil Mickelson enter the top of the leaderboard as the 2012 Masters nears its conclusion. Having such a star will help pull in an even greater Easter audience as Peter Hanson and Mickelson duke it out heading into today's final round.
Both golfers were red hot on Saturday's third round action with Hanson's seven-under leading the way. Mickelson shot six-under for the round. Both are now leading the Masters field at nine-under and eight-under respectively. Nine total golfers are within five strokes of the lead, including Lee Westwood, the leader after the first round.
The worst round yesterday belonged to Gary Woodland, who unfortunately had to withdraw after a hand injury took him to the worst scores on the day at 13-over.
