2012 Masters Winner: Bubba Watson Wins On Second Playoff Hole

The 2012 Masters Tournament had an exciting final day which started with Phil Mickelson falling from the top of the leaderboard when he had a double bogie on the No. 4 hole, but he could not get back into contention.

The tournament came down to Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen as the two played extra golf to decide this years winner. Watson had to roar back on the final nine holes to tie Oosthuizen which he did when he birdied holes No. 13 through 16. The final two holes saw both Oosthuizen and Watson par out to force sudden death goal.

On the first playoff both players continued their par streak, but the tide turned for both golfers when they moved onto the second playoff hole at No. 10. On this hole it looked like Watson would be in trouble as he ended up in the mulch.

Watson hit an amazing hook shot to land on the green to make par, but Oosthuizen was not as lucky as his putt for par just missed the cup and that miss gave Watson his first ever major tournament win.

Gary Woodland who is a former Kansas Jayhawk made the cut, but he had to withdraw after three rounds due to his wrist flaring up.
