2012 Big 12 Baseball Tournament, Final Score: OU Defeats OSU 1-0

In the opening game of the 2012 Big 12 baseball tournament in Oklahoma City, No. 4 seed Oklahoma out-lasted No. 5 seed Oklahoma State in a 1-0 pitcher's duel.

Garrett Carey picked the perfect time for his first home run of the season, as the junior infielder was responsible for the game's only run.

Oklahoma State's Andrew Heaney allowed only three hits while throwing a complete game, but Carey's solo shot was enough to give him only his third loss of the season.

Dillon Overton had just as strong a pitching performance for Oklahoma, throwing 7.1 of scoreless baseball before giving way to Steven Okert.

The Cowboys had a golden opportunity late in the game, with runners on first and second with no outs in the eighth inning, but they were unable to capitalize.

The Sooners move on to face the winner of the Texas A&M vs. Kansas game that will take place later on Wednesday.
