Big 12 Baseball Tournament: Baylor Defeats K-State 11-1

The Kansas State Wildcats fell in the first-round of the Big 12 tournament on Wednesday afternoon, losing 11-1 to the Baylor Bears. Not only did Kansas State lose to Baylor, but they were mercy-ruled by the Bears.

Josh Turley pitched the strange seven-inning complete game for Baylor, as he held Kansas State's offense in check all day. Turley allowed just one run on five hits and two walks, but only struck out one batter.

Kayvon Bahramzadeh started the game for K-State, and picked up the loss. Bahramzadeh lasted just four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on nine hits while walking one and striking out four.

Josh Ludy carried Baylor's offense, hitting home runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Ludy finished the day a perfect two for two with a walk at the plate, belting two home runs and driving in six runs.

Kansas State will now take on Oklahoma State on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. in an elimination game. Baylor, meanwhile, will face Oklahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
