Despite leaving the Big 12 Conference for the Pac-12, the Colorado Buffaloes will have an opportunity to renew their basketball rivalry against the Kansas Jayhawks during the 2012-2013 season, according to who says that while Kansas has shown no interest in playing against Missouri who left the Big 12 for the SEC, the reasoning behind the Jayhawks and Buffaloes playing against each other this season revolves around "family"

Apparently Kansas does not have the same hard feelings toward CU that it has demonstrated toward Missouri. It probably helps that CU athletic director Mike Bohn and Boyle are both former Kansas student-athletes.

Despite the defections of Missouri and Colorado to different leagues, it's good to see that college basketball fans in the Big 12 will still get to see contests that sparked excitement for so many years.
