Oklahoma’s Big 12 champion softball team swept its Super Regional series with Arizona over the weekend to punch its ticket to the College World Series, which just happens to be taking place in Oklahoma City.
↵The Sooner women, 50-8 on the year, will making their seventh Women's College World Series appearance. OU won the national championship in 2000.

↵Missouri and Texas also participated in NCAA super regional series this past weekend, but bowed out of the tournament losing to LSU and Oregon, respectively.
↵Along with OU, the 2012 WCWS field is composed of three teams from the Southeastern Conference (Alabama, Tennessee and LSU) and three teams from the Pac-12 (Arizona State, California and Oregon). South Florida is the final team in the field.
↵The double-elimination WCWS begins Friday.
