There was no shortage of craziness during the 2012 Aaron's 312 Nationwide Series race at Talladega on Saturday. Joey Logano passed Sprint Cup teammate Kyle Busch on the final lap to earn the win by 0.034 seconds. The win was Logano's first of 2012.
Logano's victory was overshadowed by a tense few minutes following Eric McClure's wreck earlier in the race. McClure's pit crew emptied into Austin Dillon's pit to watch on monitors as McClure's was lifted out of his car and placed on a stretcher before being airlifted to the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. The good news is that McClure was reportedly conscious as he was being removed from the racetrack.
NASCAR: Eric McClure was "conscious, alert and talking to the attendants when he was transported down to (UAB)."

Danica Patrick also caused a stir late when she intentionally bumped into bitter rival Sam Hornish Jr. and sent him spinning.
