Big East Sues TCU For Breaking Agreement To Join Conference

The Big East Conference has filed a lawsuit against TCU, claiming that the Horned Frogs reneged on its agreement to join the conference and instead accepted a membership offer from the Big 12.

TCU reached an agreement with the Big East in November 2010 to become a new member, beginning this July. The Big East contends in the suit that TCU owes it $5 million for failing to live up to the agreement. The Big East argues that this was part of the original agreement.

In October last year, TCU agreed to become a member of the Big 12 Conference, which will become official next month.
