2012 U.S. Open: Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson Could Miss Cut

Day 2 of the 2012 U.S. Open is nearing its completion and the expected cutline is expected to be at 8-over par. There are a few major names that could be sent home packing early from the Olympic Club. Defending U.S. Open champion Rory McIlory and 2012 Masters champions Bubba Watson are in danger of missing the cut.

McIlory has finished his round and shot a 3-over par on Friday and through two rounds is 10-over and is more than likely going to miss the cut.

As for Watson he is at 9-over par through 17 holes, and he just birdied No. 17 to get one stroke closer to 8-over par. Watson struggled on hole No. 18 on Thursday as he double-bogied the hole, so Watson will need to birdie the hole to stay alive.
