U.S. Open 2012 Leaderboard: Hunter Mahan 7 Shots Back As Final Round Is Underway

The final round of the 2012 U.S. Open is underway with the leaders still yet to tee off. Hunter Mahan is even through the first four holes of the final round after going birdie-bogey on the first two holes. Mahan is 6-over for the tournament and seven shots off the lead. Only four golfers have ever started the final round U.S. Open outside the top 10 and gone on to win the tournament.

K.J. Choi and Francesco Molinari have the best scores of the day so far in the final round with both at 2-under par. Choi is through eight holes and is 5-over for the championship. Molinari just finished the 11th hole and is a little further back at 7-over.
