2012 U.S. Open: Jim Furyk Tied With Webb Simpson For The Lead

The 2012 U.S. Open is nearing its conclusion and the current leaders are Jim Furyk and Webb Simpson. Both golfers are at 1-over par for the tournament, however Simpson has been making a Sunday charge. Simpson is 2-under par through 17 holes on Sunday while Furyk is 2-over par through 14.

Simpson started off slow by bogeying two of his first five holes, but since then he has been on fire as he birdied the sixth, seventh, eighth and 10th hole. As for Furyk, he has been fairly consistent throughout the day, but he did bogey hole No. 13 which allowed Simpson to move into a tie for first place.

Ernie Els and Graeme McDowell have a chance to make things interesting as both are two strokes back of the leaders with Els having two holes left and McDowell having three.
