Orlando Magic To Hire Thunder Assistant G.M. Rob Hennigan, According To Report

CBS Sports is reporting that the Orlando Magic have agreed to hire Oklahoma City Thunder assistant general manager Rob Hennigan as their team's next general manager. If the report is true, Hennigan, 30, would become the youngest general manager in the NBA.

Hennigan has worked under general manager Sam Presti, and is considered to be part of the "San Antonio Tree" of front office executives. He interned with the Spurs in 2004-'05 before joining the Thunder in 2008, first as a director of international and college scouting.

Hennigan will have a heavy amount of work in Orlando - the team must decide exactly what to do with Dwight Howard, with most analysts predicting some kind of trade for the All-Star out of Orlando. In addition, the Magic need to replaced fired head coach Stan Van Gundy.
