2012 Futures Game: Wil Myers Could Be Promoted

For the second straight season, Royals outfielder Wil Myers has been named to the Futures Game roster, and with his development, he could be in the major league's pretty soon. At least that's what ESPN's Keith Law thinks. Law names Myers as one of five players who could be promoted:

I don't like the idea of Myers coming up as some sort of offensive savior for the Royals, but it's pretty clear he's ready for the challenge of facing major league pitching, with a great swing, developing power and improving plate discipline.

The 6'3, 205 outfielder was promoted from Northwest Arkansas (AA) to Omaha (AAA) in the middle of May. Myers has hit .336 with 24 HR's and 62 RBI's in both levels this season.
