Six Big 12 baseball stars were named to the 2012 Baseball America All-America team, led by first-team selectees Andrew Heaney of Oklahoma State and Josh Ludy of Baylor.
↵Heaney, the junior, left-handed starting ace of the Cowboys, and Ludy, a senior catcher for Baylor, were the Big 12 Pitcher and Player of the Year, respectively, this season.
↵Starting pitcher Michael Wacha of Texas A&M and infielder Jamodrick McGruder of Texas Tech were named to the second team, and Baylor starting pitcher Josh Turley and A&M outfielder Tyler Naquin, the 2011 Big 12 Player of the Year were selected to the third team.
↵This is the third straight year the Big 12 has had at least four players named to the Baseball America All-America team.
