Wimbledon 2012: John Isner Bounced Out In 1st Round

In the most shocking of events during the first round of Wimbledon, No. 11 player John Isner was knocked out in a five-set match against Alejandro Falla earlier Monday, by a score of 6-4, 6-7, 3-6, 7-6, 7-5.

Isner came in without ideal training, since he hadn't had a match on grass entering the match, but he still seemed in control of things until the very end, when he unraveled. This is what Isner had to say to the media following the disappointing defeat:

"I just get so clouded and so frustrated," Isner said to the media following the disappointing loss. "It happened last match at the French (Open) and it happened here today. I just can't get out of my own way. I don't do the right things I need to do in the match and get too down on myself. There have certainly been better times than right now."
