Milburn Head Pro Struggling At PGA Professional National Championship

Sean Dougherty, head golf professional at Milburn Country Club, is 12 shots off the pace after two completed rounds at the 2012 PGA Professional National Championship in Seaside, Calif.

Dougherty fired a six-over-par 76 on the second day of the championship to go with his first-round score of 72 for a two-round total of 148, which also served as the cut line for the tournament.

The leader is Matt Dobyns at four-under 168. Dobyns, from Lake Success, N.Y.,shot back-to-back rounds of 68 to take a one-stroke lead heading into the third round Tuesday.

The four-day championship of primarily country-club golf professionals is being held this year at Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Courses, located in the Monterey area in Northern California.
